For your own sake, as soon as you start that Word document, PowerPoint or spreadsheet, save it, save it, save it! Did I say save it? ;-)

Seriously, as soon as you start it, do file, save as... As someone who is regularly on the reference desk I frequently encounter people who have been working an hour or more, never saved the file, and then they accidently closed it, lost it...

Save it to your jump drive, or to your filecity folder!!!
