Wikipedia vs Britannica

Interesting column in the Observer re Wikipedia recently. However one may feel about the merits of Wikipedia, students should bear in mind that professors generally do not favor its use. The library does provide access however to a wide range of academically acceptable reference materials, (dictionaries, encyclopedias etc.,) both online and in print, including to Wikipedia's competitor, Britannica.
