Africa continued

Thinking about the last post, your blogger decided to showcase a little more of what we can provide you in the way of information about Africa, colonialism etc. While the subject at hand is Africa, one can find a similarly extensive range of resources for many other topics as well.

So for example, we have lots of great books in our catalog about Africa. One directly on the subject of independence would be Africa since independence: a comparative history. Am excellent introduction to the region would be Africa: a biography of the continent.

For articles try a general purpose database like Academic Search. A particularly rich source for foreign newpapers would be LexisNexis. We have some excellent encyclopedias too, like the online New Encyclopedia of Africa. Don't forget our library research guides either, like the one to African and African American Studies.
