It's been awhile since the 2000 census....

Ten years to be exact ;-) So, those tables you can search in the Census Bureau site are a tad out of date. This is a census year of course, but the 2010 census won't be out until next year. It takes a long time to assemble and tabulate all that data!

However, in addition to the 2000 data in the census site and American FactFinder, there is the American Community Survey, which gives estimated data for the years since 2000.

There is truly a wealth of population, economic and other data at the census site. Visit it now, after all, today is "World Statistics Day!"
