Well, your blogger didn't know about them anyway, or at least was not familiar with the term. But the folks at abebooks.com, a used and rare book site, have a story on the phenomenon
here. It is something that has been done at times with books for a number of years actually, and is an intriguing artistic wrinkle on book production. Now, how will they ever recreate the "die cut" look on e-readers?!
