The Drought Portal

Everyone is at least somewhat aware of how dry it has been this summer, and the impact on lawns, farm crops and the environment. But if you're wondering about things like how dry has it really been, how widespread, whether this drought is worse than those in other years and so on you need only go to the U.S. Drought Portal to get answers to these and many other questions. (Shown here is corn from a field near Purdue Indiana.)
