Happy Public Domain Day!

Here's something for you copyright fans, or for most anyone interested in issues surrounding intellectual rights; when is it OK to scan or copy another's work and so forth. The date was actually January 1, but you can still access the web page about it here. Among other information provided the site tells which authors have entered the "public domain." One is pictured here, Lucy Maud Montgomery, the author of the popular Anne of Green Gables books. Another resource is from Cornell University, where they provide a detailed chart about how and when works enter the public domain.
