Yesterday was Martin Luther King day of course, and it seemed appropriate to suggest some of the resources we have available on Rev. King. A simple search in
our catalog along the lines of
martin king speeches for example would bring up many results. Our article databases would be a rich source of information too, for example
America: History & Life for history journal articles,
JSTOR or
Project Muse for more scholarly articles, and then there are sources like the
NY Times Historical Archive, for news accounts of his activities at the time they were taking place. Of course we have more, like the
AP Multimedia site where this photo of Rev. King at a 1964 Southern Christian Leadership Conference was obtained.
