WorldCat is...?

If you ever look at the "Find Books" part of our web page, you'll notice something called "WorldCat."  If you aren't sure what it is, the simplest way to think of it is as a sort of giant catalog of books in libraries across New York and beyond. It is based on the records of thousands of libraries that participate in a network of shared cataloging and lending. So although we do take pride in our extensive book collections, we can give you access to much more besides!
