Secret desert camp discovered!

One of those intriguing discoveries that occurs when something is stumbled across in an archives was reported in the news recently. A British researcher found a map sketched by a pilot in 1918 of the location of a desert camp of "Lawrence of Arabia." Using Google Earth and other resources they were able to locate and excavate the actual camp. Our catalog has many books by Lawrence, other books about him, the movie featuring Peter O'Toole, materials on WWI in the Middle East and so forth. Historical Abstracts would be a good database to search for articles and other sources on Lawrence and his times.
