Capital punishment

On this day in 1783 John Austin had the unfortunate distinction to be the last person publicly executed London's Tyburn gallows. What if you wanted to look for information on capital punishment, or gun control, or assisted suicide, or some other controversial topic?

A great place to start is on the library web page, by entering a search in that search box in the middle of the screen. This will launch a screen with articles, books and more on your topic. If you need help just ask one of us.

An excellent resource by the way is CQ Researcher. This long time library staple has a new issue each week on some current controversy. Each issue gives careful attention to the background of the topic, the history, statistics, charts, pro and con opinions and much more.
