The Swiss Army Knife of Databases

We have many article databases, and they all have their place, depending on what your research is. One of them though is a veritable Swiss Army Knife of databases, offering a wide array of tools all in one convenient package. That database is Academic Search Premier. You can find it listed on our Find Articles and Databases page, listed right on the main LITS page.

Academic Search itself is huge, over 7,000 journals, newspapers and magazines - that's more than the library ever received in the old days of print journals, but as the TV pitchmen say, wait, there's more!

Once in Academic Search, if you click on the "Choose Databases" tab above the search box, you can add into your searching one or more of a number of useful databases. For example, doing something related to the economy? Add in Business Source Complete. Or perhaps your research involves learning, education; add in Education Research Complete. There are many more, have a look sometime!
