Birthday of the Constitution

Today is the 225th signing of the constitution of the United States (depicted above in a 1936 mural by artist Barry Faulkner.) Brockport celebrated this anniversary by once again hosting a naturalization ceremony for new citizens. A great site to learn about the history of the Constitution, including the actual documents, is to visit this National Archives site.

The Constitution is of course regularly referred to in our laws, and is often a source of debate and controversy. We have many books about the Constitution in our catalog, online legal resources like Lexis and West's Encyclopedia of American Law, and of course articles in Academic Search and others.
