Pearl Harbor Day

It is 71 years now since the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor precipitated the entry of this country into WWII. Dates like this may prompt one to think that it would be interesting to read a little about the event, to learn, or perhaps relearn, more about it. We certainly have many books in our catalog on the attack at Pearl Harbor itself, and on the entry of the U.S. into WWII. Academic Search, America: History & Life, and JSTOR would have many articles on the subject, and the NY Times Historical Archive would have newspaper coverage from the date itself.

The image here is of the Marine Barracks at {earl Harbor at the time of the attack from the Naval History & Heritage Command site.
