A family tradition

People come to library work in many ways. Some got interested while working in libraries as a student, or because of a connection with a librarian they knew. Some of us have family who were librarians. In the case of college archivist and reference librarian Charlie Cowling, his one gr-grandmother Jessie Croom was the first librarian in Muskogee OK, back in the old Indian Territory days. His mother's stories of her encouraged him to become a librarian.
